Hayalo ("Hayalo", "we", "us" or "our") operates an online marketplace that connects customers with vendors renting and selling event supplies. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website, mobile experience and related services (together, the "Platform"), how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

- Order and booking information — the items you rent or purchase, booking dates, delivery address and contact details you provide for a delivery.
- Payment information — your payments are processed by our payment partner, Paystack; Hayalo does not store your full card or bank details.
- Communications — messages exchanged with us or with a vendor through the Platform, including support conversations started via WhatsApp.
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches made, and device and browser information, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account, and authenticate you when you sign in.
- Process bookings and orders, and share the details a vendor needs to fulfil them.
- Process payments and refunds through our payment partner.
- Send booking confirmations, order updates and other service communications.
- Provide customer support, including through WhatsApp.
- Improve and personalise the Platform, and understand how it is used.
- Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it.
